1. DMCA Policy Overview
RBScripts.net respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. We will respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).
2. What Is Copyright Infringement?
Copyright infringement occurs when someone uses, copies, distributes, or creates derivative works from copyrighted material without permission from the copyright holder. On RBScripts.net, this includes uploading scripts, code, or any content that you do not have the right to share. Scripts and code are copyrightable creative works, and uploading them without the author's permission constitutes infringement.
3. What to Include in a DMCA Takedown Notice
To file a DMCA takedown notice, your notice must include the following:
- A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner
- Identification of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed
- Identification of the material on RBScripts.net that you claim is infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it (e.g., the URL of the infringing content such as https://rbscripts.net/posts/[slug])
- Your contact information, including your name, address, telephone number, and email address
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner
4. Where to Send DMCA Notices
All DMCA takedown notices should be sent to our designated DMCA agent:
Email: hello@rbscripts.net
Website: https://rbscripts.net
Subject: DMCA Takedown Notice
5. What Happens After You File a Notice
Once we receive a valid DMCA takedown notice, we will:
- Review the notice for completeness and validity
- Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material promptly
- Notify the user who posted the content that it has been removed due to a DMCA claim
- Provide the user with an opportunity to file a counter-notification if they believe the takedown was in error
6. Counter-Notification
If you believe your content was removed in error, you may file a counter-notification. Your counter-notification must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature
- Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification
- Your name, address, telephone number, and a statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district
7. Repeat Infringers
In accordance with the DMCA, we maintain a policy of terminating access for users who are repeat infringers. If a user has had content removed multiple times due to valid DMCA notices, their account may be permanently suspended or terminated.
8. No Misuse of DMCA Process
Filing a false or fraudulent DMCA takedown notice is a serious matter. You may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees, if you knowingly misrepresent that material is infringing. Do not file DMCA notices for content you do not own or have rights to.
9. Reporting Infringement
If you are a copyright owner and believe your work is being hosted on RBScripts.net without authorization, please contact us at hello@rbscripts.net with "DMCA Takedown Notice" in the subject line and include all the required DMCA information listed above.
